The Change command enables a user to edit a fiber device or span model. In the case of fiber devices, the Change command can change device types as well as models within a specific feature category.

Change a Span

1. From the Modify/Delete section of the Fiber Tab select the Change command:

   

2. Select a Span on the map to be changed.
3. The Set Symbology -SPANS dialog box opens.

   

4. Choose the new Span model and click OK.

Change Multiple Spans

1. Place a fence around the span segments to be changed.
   Note: A fence is not required if changing a single device.
2. From the Modify/Delete section of the Fiber Tab select the Change command and select a Span on the map to be changed.
3. The Set Symbology -SPANS dialog box opens.
4. Choose the new Span model and click OK.
5. The Change - Use Fence dialog box opens.

   

6. Select the Change Selected Type Only check box to only change spans of the same model as the one selected on the map.
7. Click Yes to proceed.

Change a Fiber Device

1. From the Modify/Delete section of the Fiber Tab select the Change command and select a fiber device on the map to be changed.

   

2. The Select Equipment dialog box opens.

   

3. If desired, select the new device type.
4. Choose the new device model and click OK.
